Creative arts industry can contribute to GDP - K.K.D

celebrated 'MC' and radio presenter kwesi kyei darkwah says government needs to pay enough attention to the creative industry, since it is lucrative enough to assist government in national development.

he pointed out issues that needs to be addressed by government in order to boost the showbiz industry.

the 2013 showbiz year was quite an interesting and successful one in terms of the numerous events organized and the massive patronage from fun-lovers.

yet the unavailability of an ultra-modern theatre to accommodate patrons shifted some major events from the national theatre, conference centre and the dome to the accra sports stadium.

award winning radio broadcaster and 'DJ', kwesi kyei darkwah stressed the need for venues and centres for events across country must be paramount to government.

he explained how government's provisions for the tourism, creative arts and  will assist government and the industry.

known popularly as K.K.D, his professional contribution to the showbiz industry over the years has been enormous but his attempt to 'man' one of the agencies under the ministry of tourism, culture and creative arts did not yield fruits.
