WHERE IS THE SINGING PHAROAH(NANA FYNN) ???

when last  did you see or hear from once famous music artiste nana fynn ???

known as the 'singing pharoah' he reigned as one of the most admired voices in the Ghanaian music industry.

currently, some music lovers seek to know the whereabouts of some hi-life legends ???

a question that compelled @amigocgh @chosenlistowell to revisit some memories and perhaps engage the pioneer hi-lifer.

after studying music engineering for seven years, his passion to be an artist, manifested strongly - taking center stage of his life.

known as acquah harrison in real life he couched a reputation as a promising hi-lifer with his soothing voice and captivating lyrical compositions.

with his amusing swag on the mic, it was difficult for one to be distracted when hit by the melodies of the 'singing pharoah'.

numerous music connoisseurs and hi-life lovers referred to nana fynn as the 'pharoah' of hi-life music.

arguably, he was one of the best voices that ruled the industry with his silky voice which most entertainment critics found exceptional.

in 2000, he released his first album 'ankwansema' winning the hearts of many music lovers.

between 2001 and 2008 he produced four albums with hits like 'romeo', 'odo' handkerchief, 'I do' and 'twe wo ho' which earned him numerous several Ghana music awards.

unfortunately for the hi-life icon, speculations around town had it that the singing pharoah has lost ideas to meet the status quo.

in an interview with @chosenlistowell in his falcon recording studios, he disclosed life as a musician for him was a burning passion he had to fulfill and is currently engaged in other projects.

@chosenlistowell: but how true is this?

Nana fynn: well it is evident right at this moment you can see the number of artistes seated in the hall waiting for their turn to record.

they are young and energetic with lots of potentials and paying attention to them and also guiding their talent is more than anything for me.
@chosenlistowell: so, what accounted for the long break then?

Nana fynn: music engineering has always been my thing and in order for me to couch that invaluable niche for myself, I have to pay serious attention.

In life everybody has dreams, goals and aspirations which have set targets and timelines of execution and at the moment I am engaged in one of them which is more involving thus creating an impression of my absence in the game.

@chosenlistowell: so going back to your first love, what do you tip your fans to expect?

well my first love has always been reggae but I had to explore and to fit the status-quo of my days as a young artiste.

but now I'm back full time to reggae and still producing hits that will soon make waves. and I urge every true fan of mine not to be disturbed for my absence now but rather expect nothing but the best in no time.

@chosenlistowell: but have you considered the trends in the industry now and how do u intend to break in???

Nana fynn: In life you give respect to whom it is due, in the past when I was the best everyone hailed me but now there has been a great evolution and change in the industry and I am currently going to work with those running the game.

@chosenlistowell: so who do you plan working with on your new reggae album???

Nana Fynn: well I already have one song with @sarkodie and since work on the project is in session, I will considering more artistes as build up.

the former hiplife in the studio was in a hood-gear and when asked of his 'pharoah' head gear he stated it will be a story for another day.

''SHATTA WALE $ SAMINI TO SMOKE PEACE PIPE '' - REGGIE ROCKSTONE

the showbiz industry, arguably, for sometime now - have been dominated by series of hits from dance-hall artistes,

but instead of more entertaining hits from the now trending genre, there seem to be a turmoil in the dance-hall camp that has aroused the attention of staunch industry players.

showbiz critics, believed the feud started as a challenge to claim the lyrical supremacy accolade and dance-hall king of the moment.

and what may have started as a normal lyrical battle between dancehall artistes samini and shatta wale in recent weeks has gone sour as the two(shatta_wale + samini) seems to be at loggerheads now.

not known to be the best of buddies, until the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(V.G.M.A), nobody knew about their feud.

kaakie, percieved to be from samini's camp(high-grade-family) was given the dance-hall artiste of the year... instead of shatta wale... some music lovers disclosed.

tv3's owusu worae captured shatta wale on camera as he destroyed some chairs and props at the V.G.M.A venue - chanting derogatory statements at charter house, kaakie $ samini.

angered by the decision from charter house, shatta immediately registered his displeasure by releasing a song titled 'letter to charter house'

this is how the so-called lyrical feud for supremacy in the dance-hall genre camp began.

to prove his maturity shatta apologized, and invited samini management for a collaboration
which did not really yield fruits.

and out of no where samini released a new single supposedly directed at shatta wale titled scatter bad mind (diss song).

evidently, the move by samini registered a revival of a feud that was almost dying.

in response to samini's song, shatta and his camp, replied samini in no time with a track titled 'sixth letter to samini'.

even fans of both artistes have taken sides, and at the just ended 4syte music video awards, fans chanted shatta wale's name as samini appeared on stage to perform as if to spite samini.

this development has generated controversies in the music industry and created uneasiness amongst some staunch industry players as a whole.

a league of concerned stake holders initiated by the office of the national hip-life director, reggie rockstone, in collaboration with musiga have initiated a peace process for the ongoing unrest in the dance-hall industry.

CEO of the last two records, hammer is part of the committee hoping to strike a truce between the two.

the process to thrash all sentimental engagements between the two artistes in order for a truce has been scheduled to take three days.

in an attempt to avoid contradictory statements and misquotes of the media on this sensitive matter the committee has decided that none of the two parties will grant interviews about progress of the peace talks until a truce is called.

so we have our fingers crossed to see how efforts to strike a truce between the two top dancehall artistes pans out.

'I AM THE BEST VOCALIST IN TEMA'- JM De VOICE

in recent times verbal assaults and lyrical battles have dominated the content music in ghana.

some entertainment critics have explained such engagements between artist are sometimes healthy and fun.

but could also go very vile, aggressive and violent and at such limits artistes involved must be called to other before casualties evolve.

interestingly generating a stir, is a member of the akessefuor group, joe mensah known in showbiz cirlces as JM de voice, in an interview on tv3's  entertaining and educative morning show program 'NewDay' made a statement that could trigger new battles in the industry.

the most debated and popular battle in the industry have always been the claim for the best rapper or vocalist of the game.

and currently, Tema can boast of some quality and outstanding artistes such as Kwaw Kesse, Ephraim, Chemphe, D-money, Criss waddle, D-Cryme and many more.

and the @amigocgh entertainment desk tried to find some male vocalists from tema who have come close to claiming the best male vocalist awards in recent times.

arguably, the music industry has enjoyed great works of ingenuity from wordsmiths(rappers), vocalists, composers, music video directors and managers.

the likes of Sarkodie currently the most influential artist in ghana, holding the patent right to a laudable BET award category (BEST INTERNATIONAL ACT).

he also swept away 4 awards in the just ended MTN - 4SYTE MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS with his $90,000 worth 'illuminati' video shot in dubai - at the just ended mtn 4syte music video awards.

one could easily attribute the current development and progress in the music and creative industry to these giants of the music game.

unarguably, they could easily boast to claim themselves as the current 'movers and shakers' of  the music industry.

but joe mensah now known as JM de voice, a former member of the akessefour group has claimed the title for the best vocalist in tema.

a claim that could stir a new lyrical battle in the industry.

during an interview at the tv3 newday show, Joe mensah also known as JM de voice in showbiz circles emphatically stated; "I AM THE BEST VOCALIST IN TEMA SO FAR, SO I WANT ALL MY FANS AND GHANA TO FEEL ME".

but mugeez of r2bees who masterminded the group's stance to be tops at the just ended Ghana music awards is not one to leave out of the hitlist.

could JM de voice's claim go unanswered or  would there be new heights of lyrical attacks from the male vocalists in tema??

so if the former akessefour member claims himself the best vocalist in tema - where do his fellow able vocalists in fall ???

or is JM de voice announcing his presence back into mainstream showbiz by stirring the airwaves with his 'contextual' claim as the best in the game ???

on another platform on TV3(spotlight), the afro pop, reggae, soul singer also disclosed he is not limited to any specific genre but a an all round musician who produces good music no matter the genre or form it appears.

as a guitarist, he advised his fellow musicians in the industry to adopt the nature of learning how to play at least one instrument in order to enhance the quality of their craft.

he admitted the guitar inspires and sometimes assists him in the producing and composing of his songs - apart from other sources he taps inspiration.

he announced his first acoustic concert and album to be launched pretty soon.

currently, his hit singles 'BLUE SKY' & 'IS THIS LOVE' is enjoying massive airplay and he stressed he is here to stay and to entertain music lovers.

the @amigocgh @newsontv3 @TV3NewDay entertainment desks will keep fingers crossed to see what brews next in the showbiz pots of Tema.
