“NSRUMA”
means star in the Ghanaian local Akan language.
“NAIM” is an abbreviation of
his favourite quote: “Neoteric Ambitions In Me”, Born in Lashibi, Accra-Ghana
on November 22, 1991, from a small family of two siblings and a single Mom.
After writing stories as a child, the 24-year old rapper
veered into music. At junior high school, he began performing rap music. In
Senior High School he joined the group named “R.N.I”.
They released songs that made waves in the Ada district.
Their notable feats won the group high school entertainers
awards. He became the Entertainment Prefect in school.
After Senior High School, he participated in several talent
hunt shows.
Growing up in the arts industry, NSUMA NAIM steadily
followed and learned from influential artistes Jay Z, Kanye West, Kendrick
Lamar, M.I and Sarkodie.
His debut studio recording and journey in the arts started
with one of Stonebwoy’s engineers known popularly as Beatz Dakay.
